MotorDirectUK provides a link between vehicle sellers and buyers throughout the UK and Republic of Ireland with the intention of helping them to reduce the costs involved in buying and/or selling their vehicles. However, both buyers and sellers must note that MotorDirectUK will not be held liable for any expenses or other inconveniences incurred as a result of using their services.

Our service to buyers is free.

Charges made to register a vehicle are set out on our fees page and may vary due to special offers as indicated there. However, unless otherwise indicated on the fees page charges are  made as follows:

• To register a vehicle for the first month the fee is £15.00.

• To continue registration for a second month no fee is payable as long as the seller responds, within seven days, to an e-mail message asking whether the vehicle is sold. 

• The price of a vehicle can be changed at any time by paying an administration fee of £7.50.
  

It must be noted that MotorDirectUK cannot be held responsible in any way for the quality of photographs or the accuracy of any descriptions held in the database. Buyers must note that descriptions and photographs of vehicles should be used as a guide only and must not be relied upon to represent an accurate picture of the vehicle being offered for sale; buyers should make appointments by contacting sellers, and arrange to view vehicles in person; satisfying themselves as to the suitability and condition of vehicles before entering into any contract to purchase them. MotorDirectUK also advises buyers to obtain an independent report on the vehicle's condition and roadworthiness from a suitably qualified motor vehicle technician or a motoring organization, such as the Automobile Association (AA) or the Royal Automobile Club (RAC). Do not rely on a vehicle having a current MOT as indicating that it is in a roadworthy condition. We also advise buyers to beware of vehicles still the subject of a "Hire purchase" agreement as well as vehicles which have been an insurance total loss. Do not part with any money until you have satisfied yourself that the vehicle is genuine and that the seller is actually the owner of the vehicle being offered for sale. 

MotorDirectUK will not release personal details of either buyers or sellers other than to publicise the name, telephone number and e-mail address of the seller along with the description of the vehicle for sale (addresses will NOT be displayed or provided at any other time). Sellers must provide at least an e-mail address contact, but preferably also a telephone number. Buyers will need to contact the sellers using either the telephone number or e-mail address displayed to arrange an appointment to view or to obtain any other information they need.

Even though vehicle and personal details may be submitted before registration payments are made, vehicles will not be publicised on the website until such time as the registration fees have been received. These should be paid at the time of registration; we accept most major credit and debit cards for payment at our website. Should you experience any difficulty paying at the time of registration alternative arrangements for paying will be given to you then, or you can try again to pay for your registration using your credit or debit card at a later time using our payment page as long as you do so within 14 days of registering, after which time the registration will be deleted.

In order to remain registered, sellers will need to respond, within 7 days, to e-mail messages sent by MotorDirectUK at the end of the first month following registration. Failure to respond within this period will result in vehicles being removed from the database; reinstatement following this will require that the seller re-registers and pays initial registration fee again, i.e.:

• To register a vehicle for the first month the fee is £15.00.

• To continue registration for a second month no fee is payable as long as the seller responds, within seven days, as described above. 

• The price of a vehicle can be changed at any time by paying an administration fee of £7.50.
  

Sellers can remove their vehicle from the database  themselves at any time using the Control Panel feature or by informing MotorDirectUK, by e-mail, that they wish to do so; this e-mail must include the seller's name, postal address and database reference number, we will then remove the record for the seller.

We reserve the right to cancel any seller's registration after the first month without notice.

We reserve the right to refuse to re-register a seller's vehicle after each "paid" period.

We reserve the right to refuse to register, or to delete the record of a buyer's requirements at any time without notice.
